Management consultancy Accenture has announced plans to invest more than €25 million in a new centre for innovation in Dublin, which will create 200 jobs over the next 12 months.

The company is seeking people with R&D and design expertise in cognitive computing, internet of things, advanced analytics, security and digital marketing to fill the roles.

Accenture said it would research, incubate and pilot innovative industry-specific and cross-industry technologies and solutions for its clients at the new centre.

“Ireland has become a technology hub in Europe and is a rich source of highly-skilled talent in science, technology and engineering”, the company’s chief operating officer and chief executive in Europe, Jo Deblaere, said. “Given this, Dublin is the perfect location for our new centre for innovation.”

Accenture already has 1,800 employees in Ireland.
