SFI-HRB-Wellcome Trust Biomedical Research Partnership
The Wellcome Trust awards Centre status to programmes that they expect to catalyse and enable world-leading research and innovation in fields that are central to the Trust’s mission.
The Trust is now offering groups the opportunity to become Wellcome Trust Centres. Eligible institutions in the Republic of Ireland are invited to submit Letters of Interest proposing new Centres, for a competition to be decided in late 2016 – view link.
SFI will co-fund with the Wellcome Trust successful Centre Awards in the Republic of Ireland in areas within SFI’s legal remit.
The proposed Centre Director should email the letter of interest to WTcentres@wellcome.ac.uk by 12.00 BST on Monday 21st September 2015.
RoI applicants must let SFI know of their intention to submit a letter of interest (contact@wellcome-ireland.com ). Groups subsequently invited to submit a preliminary application will need to receive approval to proceed from SFI. Further information on this step will be available in due course.
