Glofox, a Dublin fitness management software company, is investing in Northern Ireland for the first time. The company is creating a Research and Development Centre to support its rapid international growth plans.

Glofox provides an all-in-one solution for fitness studios, gyms, and global fitness franchises. The software provides member management, sales, and marketing capabilities, as well as payment processing for customers in over 50 countries.

Invest Northern Ireland has offered Glofox £96,000 towards the creation of 12 new jobs at the Belfast centre.

Conor O’Loughlin (pictured right), co-founder and CEO of Glofox, said: “The fitness industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors globally. We have developed a fast and reliable platform, enabling fitness entrepreneurs to build successful, growing businesses and improve worldwide health and wellbeing.

“To respond to industry growth, we are rapidly scaling our product and engineering teams and our new centre will play a key role in contributing towards our company development. Belfast is a great fit for us in terms of the specific skills we require to build the success of our brand. Invest NI’s support has allowed us to progress at pace to secure the talent we need and we look forward to expanding our Belfast team further in the future.”

Glofoxs software allows fitness businesses to deliver the best possible experience to their members. The Belfast team will focus on developing all aspects of the platform, along with developing new ways to use data science to improve member experience and business success.

Derek Andrews (pictured left), Head of International Investment, Invest NI, said: “We are pleased to welcome Glofox to Northern Ireland as it establishes its new R&D Centre in Belfast. Our support has allowed the company to bring its innovative software to NI and create 12 new roles within the company.

“Glofox has recognised the wealth of talent on offer across NI’s technology sector. It has a strong vision to digitally transform the fitness industry and the team it is establishing in Belfast will have a lead role to play in this. The centre is also a welcome addition to the NI economy, generating £520,000 in additional annual salaries.”

The new jobs have an average salary of £43,000. Recruitment is currently underway, with a variety of product management and software engineering roles available, and opportunities for graduates.
